Refurbishments & Upgrades

• The capacity of existing older design hydrocyclone systems can be increased by up to 80% while improving separation performance by up to 50% by implementing a Cyclotech B20 Series Deoiling Hydrocyclone retrofit. This can be done without the addition of extra hydrocyclone vessels and in most cases, any hot work or any modification to the existing vessels pipework or valving.  In some rare cases, the tail pipe support plate may need to be trepanned out (see photo below right).  The Cyclotech B20 Series liner can be adapted to retrofit existing third party hydrocyclone vessel designs.  This implies that a liner retrofit offers cost, delivery, production down time and integration benefits when compared to a replacement Produced Water Treatment system.

          

• Cyclotech can retrofit the MC Series Desanding Hydrocyclone Liners into third party Desanding systems to again increase both the vessel capacity and the separation performance;
• Cyclotech can retrofit standard 5k psi or 10k psi solids filter pots with WDC Series Wellhead Desanding Cyclone inserts to increase the separation performance and availability while (i) removing the need to disassemble the unit to remove the solids and (ii) converting a Duty / Standby system to a 2 x 100% system;
• Cyclotech can retrofit new or upgrade existing conventional or Swirling Flow type production separator sand jetting systems with our advanced SCARPA^® sand jetting system.  Installation of a SCARPA^® sand jetting system will avoid separator upset during jetting, increase the proportion of the sand removed to over 90%, control the sand concentration in the downstream transfer pipework and minimise the amount of internal jetting infrastructure required with the separator, thereby minimizing flow disturbance;
• All options available with upgraded wear resistance materials for extended operation in erosive environments.

Spares

• Cyclotech specialise in the supply of spare like-for-like hydrocyclone liners and seal kits for Deoiling Hydrocyclone systems including obsolete systems. The Cyclotech B20 and B50 Series Deoiling Hydrocyclone liners can be adapted to provide a spare which will directly fit into third party Deoiling Hydrocyclone system without the requirement for any modification to the existing vessel. Operators find the benefits include that they have access to a spare liner which has equivalent or better separation performance, equivalent or better hydraulic capacity, equivalent or better wear resistant material options and certainly better cost effectiveness.  Cyclotech now have call off contracts in place with someb operators to provide a single point of contact for all their hydrocyclone spares requirements where in many cases Cyclotech did not supply the original system;

• The Cyclotech MC Series Desanding Hydrocyclone liners can be adapted to provide like-for-like hydrocyclone liner spares for some existing third party Desanding Hydrocyclone systems;
• The Cyclotech WDC Series Wellhead Desanding Cyclone inserts can be adapted to provide like-for-like WDC Insert spares for some existing third party Wellhead Desanding Cyclone systems;

Services

• Produced Water Treatment system troubleshooting including sand production and Produced Water characterisation services;
