A Hat-trick of Norwegian Contracts

Date Posted:  Tuesday, 20th November 2007
Upstream separation technology company, Cyclotech, has scored a hat-trick of contract awards in Norway with a combined value in excess of £5 million.

The company has signed a contract with BP Norge AS to supply the sand treatment package for the Skarv-Idun project. This award follows two other orders from Norway; one from Aker Kvaerner Stord AS for the sand cleaning package for Statoil’s Gjoa project and the other from Aibel in Haugesund for the large scale upgrade of the produced water system on Statoil’s Veslefrikk platform.

Commenting on these recent contract awards, Cyclotech AS Regional Manager Malcolm Corsie said “Norway has been and will continue to be an important market for Cyclotech. We established a regional office in Stavanger seven years ago and during that time have developed strong relationships and an excellent track record with our Norwegian clients.”

Cyclotech’s Managing Director, David Hadfield, continued, “As a leading provider of innovative solutions for sand handling and produced water treatment, Cyclotech is well placed to take advantage of the current business growth opportunities in Norway. These contract awards will ensure that we can continue to develop our presence there to support the local market and develop international opportunities through the Norwegian offshore community.”

Headquartered in Basingstoke Cyclotech currently has regional offices in Aberdeen, Stavanger and Houston and is establishing a presence in Singapore.
